It tastes better…

“Always drink upstream from the herd.” ~ Cowboy Humor or Will Rogers

(take your pick)

I saw this one on Todd Ordal’s Applied Strategy newsletter.  Todd says “Have you ever found yourself hanging around the water cooler with a bunch of people with lots to (complain) about but no solutions?  Head upstream!”

Ask yourself the right questions.  “What can I do?  How can I make this better?”

The water tastes much better upstream.

“Some cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go.”  Oscar Wilde

When is your team happy?
Do the right thing, do the best you can, and treat others the way they want to be treated.  Practice those 3 simple virtues and you’ll bring happiness WHEREVER you go.

Do you care?

If you think nobody cares if you’re alive, try missing a couple of car payments. – Flip Wilson

Does your team know you care about them as individuals, more than you care about their results?  Good leaders touch a heart before they ask for a hand.
